I spent five years living and learning in New York City, where I learned (among many things) that stress is an every day reality for people. A man-made metropolis where the people who live there eat, sleep, and breath stress. Don’t get me wrong, we all have our valid reasons to be stressed out. Typically because of the higher cost of living, but even the upper class and well-to-do’s can find something to stress about, it is marvelous.
Traffic. Rent. Fitness. Style. Shopping. Self-Esteem. Sleep. Rent. Rent. Cabs. Rent.
But then I moved to California, the San Francisco area to be more specific, and it really is not that different. Despite the flip flops and t-shirts. There is a high cost of living in any city, there are a lot of people in a small space which means it gets congested with traffic, mostly people just want to live.
Stress, it’s everywhere. And it’s not going anywhere, we take care of one great stress only to find it immediately replaced by another, so what’s the point? Why freak out? It is actually the freaking-out that does the most damage.
Breathe deep and let it go, find your peace in nature, and realize that at the end of the day you’re going to survive. You are going to rise another day, with a whole new set of challenges and stresses. It takes a conscious choice to break the pattern, to live a lifestyle where you embrace the natural world. It becomes an armor of sorts, improving all aspects of your life. Suddenly all of the big stresses seem smaller and become easier to handle. You got this. You can do this, and you have the power to change everything.
The goal of Aguaterra is to bring you this inner strength and peace, to help you conquer life’s challenges. To live the life of Aguaterra, let it go, embrace strength and beauty, and let health radiate from within.
